      Charlene Nash, 81 of Lampasas, Texas died September 9, 2015 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. Charlene was born June 11, 1934 in Mason, Texas the daughter of Arthur William Eckert and Nettie Matilda (Hasse) Eckert. Charlene grew up in Mason. She attended a 1 room school house in Long Mountain, Texas and went on to graduate from high school in Mason. Charlene attended Texas Lutheran College, and later graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in home economics. She moved to Lampasas in 1959, where she worked as a home demonstration agent for a number of years. She lived in the area until about a year ago, when she moved to Tyler.

      Survivors are her son, Mark Joseph Nash III and wife Judy of Mason
      Daughter, Virginia Hodges and husband Andy of Tyler
      Grandchildren; Mark William Nash
      Zachary Carl Nash and wife Alyssa
      Abigail Marie Nash
      Andrew Robert Norcross
      Margaret Ann Hodges

      Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Joseph Nash Jr.

      Visitation for Mrs. Nash will be Monday, September 14, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the 1st Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

      Memorials may be given to the Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, or to the Lampasas Library Foundation.
