    1. [S327] Obituary, Arline MyCue ( September 08, 1918 - February 12, 2018 ) A celebration for the life of Arline Koepsel MyCue will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 710 N. Austin Street, Seguin. Arline was born on September 8, 1918 in a farmhouse near McQueeney, daughter of Henry and Della Koepsel. A life filled with raising a family and nurturing children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, didn’t stop Arline from being active in the life of her church and community. She loved God, her family, and her church. As a young woman growing up, she was active in school sports and activities in the German community of McQueeney. After high school graduation she began work at Duke and Ayres, the local 5 & 10 Cent store on Austin Street. It was at the candy counter where she met a yankee, motorcycle rider from Minnesota, Roger MyCue. Roger’s Pastor Baenziger in Minnesota, suggested Roger could find carpentry work in a warmer climate in Seguin. Arline and Roger were marr.

    2. [S327] Obituary, Richard MyCue July 10, 1944 - August 12, 2018 A life filled with family, architecture, historical details, and friendships was the life story of Seguin native Richard (Dick) MyCue. Born into a conservative German family in 1944 and raised in Seguin, Dick was quick to appreciate his heritage and many lifelong friends and relatives in the local area. Following complications of a previous stroke, death came suddenly at home on August 12. A 1962 graduate of Seguin High School, Dick attended Texas Lutheran College, now TLU, was drafted into the army during the Vietnam era, and later attended the University of Texas, graduating from the School of Architecture. He worked as an intern in the New York City office of famed architect, Philip Johnson and later received a Master of Urban Planning from the City University of New York in 1974. Throughout his career, Dick’s specialty was restoration architecture. He had an office in Seguin in the middle 1970’s, worked and traveled for a time in the late 1970.
